In Class
- We consider this classic, conflict-ridden question: Where do you weigh more: on the equator or at a pole? That is, given the earth were a perfect sphere (which it’s not), what would a scale read when you stand on it. Would you feel “heavier” on the pole, on the equator, or would the scales read the same on both? I personally know of enemies made through debate of this question. However, we can surely do better and have this discussion in an air of curiosity and mutual respect!
After Class
