Test 2: 15g CaCl2 2 week use as desiccant

This test lasted under 2 hours. The oven got to 79.8°C and the desiccant lost 17.8 grams of weight.

The solution that dripped from the CaCl2 weighed in at 17.00g meaning only 0.74g was evaporated from the desiccant in the form of gas. It is curious how our smaller sample of CaCl2 lost more weight in solution than our first test. This could be because it had more surface area exposed to the air than the 25g of CaCl2 did because of the way it sat on top of the flour, causing it to gather more moisture from the air.
